With us, you will experience both tough challenges and fantastic events, in a strong community with colleagues. See parts of our reality in our photo exhibition; akademiskafotoutstallning.se (http://akademiskafotoutstallning.se). Welcome with your application!

Do you want to work with recurring patients, advanced treatments, and at the same time be part of a safe team with strong competence? Then this could be your next workplace! With us, you will have a varied position where daytime work in outpatient care is combined with weekend duties in our inpatient department.

Our Operations

About Us

The Rheumatology Clinic includes outpatient care, inpatient care, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation, and research. We have about 70 employees who together work with some of the healthcare's most complex patient groups. In rheumatology, there are over 80 diagnoses, mainly autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, and we also receive patients in dermatology and endocrinology.

We work with complex, often chronic conditions, where nursing knowledge and person-centered care are central.

Outpatient Care

Our outpatient care receives about 50 patients per week within the medical specialties of rheumatology and dermatology. Here you will work with:

  • infusion treatments in the form of biological drugs and lighter cytostatics
  • assessment and monitoring of the patient's status before and during treatment
  • investigation visits in close collaboration with doctors
  • advanced wound care

You will be part of a team of five nurses and two nursing assistants who work in rotation. One nurse per day is responsible for coordinating the patient flow, while the remaining nurses are responsible for infusion treatments.

Inpatient Care

Our inpatient department has seven beds and receives patients with rheumatological, dermatological, and endocrinological diseases. About 30% of our patients come as national or regional care. Here you will work about 20% of your position, on average every third weekend, as a resource to the responsible nurse in the care team. This gives you:

  • a good breadth of competence
  • the opportunity to follow the patient's entire care chain
  • experience in advanced assessment and nursing

Are We Right for You?

You thrive when you meet recurring patients and get to know them over time. You appreciate structured workdays, a smaller team, and a work environment where everyone helps each other and communicates openly. We are looking for someone who:

  • is a licensed nurse
  • preferably has a few years of experience
  • enjoys the variation between outpatient and inpatient care
  • is confident, responsible, and good at prioritizing
  • easily builds trust and communicates clearly
  • wants to contribute to the development and improvement of care
  • actively contributes with nursing competence and reflection

Experience in our three medical specialties is an advantage but not a requirement.

We Offer

  • a varied position with both outpatient and inpatient care
  • a workplace with close collaboration and high competence
  • a workplace that values work joy, learning, and patient safety
  • opportunities for professional development in advanced treatment care

With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/).
