The food service in Timrå municipality consists of 1 central kitchen, 12 receiving kitchens, and 33 employees located in various places in the municipality. We prepare and deliver about 4000 meals per day to the municipality's preschools, schools, and elderly care. To succeed in this mission, it is essential to maintain high quality with the customer in focus and to work for good cooperation with other actors.

Bergeforsens school is a F–6 school where operations are conducted Monday to Friday. In the school's receiving kitchen, approximately 210 lunch portions, as well as breakfast and snacks for after-school care, are produced daily. As part of the kitchen team, you are responsible for ensuring that our students receive safe, nutritious, and delicious meals in a pleasant dining environment.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • Preparation, heating, and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks including special diets and salad preparation
  • Planning, portion calculation, and purchasing of food
  • Receiving goods, delivery checks, and orders
  • Self-control and work according to the applicable HACCP program
  • Dishes, cleaning, and keeping the kitchen clean and well-organized.

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, innovative, and has a genuine interest in cooking for our guests. You have the ability to handle stress and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. You need to master the Swedish language both in speech and writing. Good computer skills are important as we communicate digitally, receive information via email, and work with digital systems.

You have:

  • Chef education with relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience of cooking from different cultures
  • Good knowledge of nutrition, diet, and special diets
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and work according to HACCP
  • Good communication skills and good collaboration abilities
