The orthopedics area is part of the county's somatic healthcare and conducts both planned and acute operations focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This also includes the Orthopedic Technical Department. We work closely with patients in care teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, kitchen assistants, and physiotherapists.

At the Orthopedic Department in Örnsköldsvik, we have an exciting team with a mix of individuals of different ages, both men and women. A cheerful atmosphere and good collaboration characterize the department. We are all involved in the work of developing and improving care and our operations. Our goal is to always start from the patient's needs and preserve the healthy. As a kitchen assistant with us, you play an important role in the daily work. You contribute to creating a pleasant and well-functioning meal situation, which is an important part of the patient's recovery and well-being. You work closely with the care staff and are part of the team around the patient. We will plan an individual introduction to provide good conditions for the assignment.

The position is full-time over the summer of 2026, starting on 2026-06-01 or by agreement until 2026-08-16.

Kitchen Assistant for the Orthopedic Department, Örnsköldsvik Summer 2026

• Standard tasks for a kitchen assistant in a care department
• Preparation and arrangement of breakfast, snacks, and dinner.
• Ordering and serving lunch and dinner delivered by Örnsköldsvik Municipality, as well as ordering other food items
• Standard kitchen tasks such as dishwashing, cleaning, and ordering goods and food
• The job also includes self-checks regarding food safety.

We are looking for someone who

• Has education in restaurant or large kitchen
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you

• Are a trained nursing assistant
• Have experience from restaurants and/or large kitchens
• Have experience in healthcare
