The Surgical Emergency Care Unit (KAVA) is the emergency care unit at the county hospital within the surgical clinic. Here, patients with diagnoses such as acute abdomen and trauma are cared for. The operation is characterized by a high pace and close collaboration between different professional groups. As a kitchen assistant with us, you are an important part of the whole and contribute to creating a safe and well-functioning care environment through service, meal management, and support in the daily work on the unit.

We are looking for a kitchen assistant who enjoys going the extra mile and adding a touch of gold to the lives of our patients at the Surgical Emergency Care Unit (KAVA) in Sundsvall. You will work closely with the unit's nursing assistants and nurses. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day.

The position is a one-year temporary contract starting on 2026-05-04 or by agreement until 2027-05-04.

Kitchen Assistant for KAVA, Sundsvall

As a kitchen assistant with us at KAVA, your responsibilities include:

• Orders
• Simple preparation and serving of breakfast, snacks, and dinner.
• Ordering other food items (dairy, toppings, coffee, and staples)
• Carrying out standard routines regarding cleaning and tidying in the patient kitchen, staff kitchen, and dishwashing.
• Self-checks regarding food safety

We are looking for someone who

• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Has education in the field of kitchen, serving, or food handling

It is an advantage if you

• Have worked in kitchens and restaurants
