Allsta School is an F-6 primary school located in a picturesque area ten kilometers south of Sundsvall. The school is situated between Prästhusberget and Klingstatjärn, close to forest trails, ski tracks, and historical sites. There has been a village school here for over 100 years. The school is small in size, allowing us to create a safe environment for both students and staff. Allsta School strives to have 100% qualified educators who care about seeing each student every day.

Allsta School has sustainable development as its profile. Agenda 2030 emphasizes environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Our school places special emphasis on social sustainability, movement and health, as well as outdoor education. We have our own kitchen where our chef prepares all meals on-site.

The school started its operations in the autumn term of 2023 with 40 students in grades F-2. Today we have 80 students and continue to grow each school year, aiming for 100 students in grades F-6. Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a substitute for our chef who will be on parental leave for two months (August 1 - October 2, 2026). The job responsibilities include planning, preparing, and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks to the school's students and educators. Additionally, it includes ordering and receiving food deliveries as well as cleaning and tidying the school restaurant.

Beyond the continuous substitute position, there may be an opportunity for a continued need-based hourly substitute employment.

Qualifications

You have work experience and education in cooking and food handling. Experience in large kitchens/school kitchens is an advantage.

You are a driven and confident person with a positive attitude. You are structured, flexible, and solution-oriented, and can make quick decisions when circumstances change. You enjoy creating a pleasant environment in the school restaurant and have the students' best interests in mind. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You thrive working independently in a smaller unit and are interested in sustainable development. You have a B driver's license and can communicate in Swedish.
