Create summer flavors by the coast – we are looking for a creative cook at Sågverket!

Are you a cook who loves working with ingredients from scratch? Do you want to spend your summer in one of the most charming environments of the High Coast (Höga Kusten)? Then you are the one we are looking for!

About us at Sågverket

Sågverket - meetings, rooms & kitchen is beautifully located in the village of Rö, just north of Härnösand, right where the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the High Coast begins. Here, history and modernity meet in a personal and warm environment. Our restaurant is the heart of the operation, serving breakfast and a popular à la carte menu with a Northern Swedish twist.

Your role

As a cook with us, you will have overall responsibility for our à la carte service during the summer season. You will work in a tight-knit team where we help each other to give guests that extra experience – whether it is a dinner for a family with children or a festive gathering for a larger group.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning the summer menu
• Preparation and plating of à la carte dishes
• Preparing for the evening service
• Planning purchases
• Self-control and focus on order and hygiene in the kitchen

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience in à la carte service who enjoys taking responsibility in the kitchen. You are confident in your professional role, stress-resistant when the pace increases, and have an eye for detail. Since we are a personal establishment, we value that you are unpretentious, cheerful, and enjoy collaborating with the rest of the staff.

We prefer that you:

• Have a relevant culinary education or equivalent experience
• Have an interest in sustainable cooking and local ingredients
• Are self-reliant but also a good team player
• Have access to a vehicle as we are located in a rural area
