Staff Officer/Commander to Kvarn

Kvarn is part of Skövde Garrison, and a command team is being established to lead and coordinate the garrison's joint operations in Kvarn.

Kvarn is a place with extensive and complex operations, including P 4 and Hkpflj basic training, basic officer training, development and training at the Army Combat School, as well as the logistics and garrison support resources required to support operations.

Skövde garrison is now strengthening the command team in Kvarn to handle an increasing workload. The staff officer is part of the garrison's implementation department, located in Kvarn.

Main Responsibilities

As a staff officer/commander, your main responsibilities will be to lead and coordinate the garrison's joint tasks in Kvarn together with the garrison's implementation department and prepare matters for decision by the garrison commander.

The work as a staff officer/commander includes, among other things;

• implementing planned operations
• coordinating garrison joint operations in Kvarn
• collaborating with military units and civilian authorities in the local area
• planning and leading support operations in the form of exercise support and host nation support
• supporting development work in Kvarn
• supporting veteran and family activities

Qualifications

• Professional or reserve officer, at least OF2/SO6
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Driving license B

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who feels a strong personal responsibility, wants to work independently and without prestige. You should be proactive and have a high ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, sometimes under time pressure. The ability to switch between working in a team and independently is of great importance. With varying tasks that are often performed in collaboration with other parts of the operations in Kvarn, we see that you should be solution-oriented and flexible.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious

• Previous experience of working in a military staff at battalion level (or equivalent) or higher

Employment form: permanent or fixed-term RO2 employment. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

Employment rate: Full-time

Salary: individual salary setting according to the Swedish Armed Forces agreement. For reserve officers who are state employees, the agreement on salary supplementation applies.

Work location: Kvarn

Start date: by agreement.

Working hours are primarily weekdays 07:30-16:30, but weekend and evening work may occur. Business trips may occur in the position. The position is military and involves war placement. To meet the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements for physical standards, physical training is included as part of your duties.

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4 has operations from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The leadership is located in Skövde, where most of the conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, will lead large parts of the army's units.
