About us

Staffing Service is the internal resource organization of Sahlgrenska University Hospital. We recruit and are responsible for all hourly employees within Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Our mission is to staff the wards with engaged and competent personnel during acute short-term absences. As an hourly employee in Staffing Service, you have the opportunity to work across several departments within our operations conducted at Sahlgrenska Hospital, Östra Hospital, Mölndal Hospital, Högsbo Hospital, and Rågården.

What do we offer?

As a caregiver, you will work with psychiatric care, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with severe mental illness. You will have the opportunity to eventually work across our psychiatric areas of Dependence, Psychosis, Affective Disorders, Neuropsychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry.

With the help of our booking system TimeCare Pool, you will be scheduled for shifts based on your own availability, thus allowing you to control when you can work. We now offer hourly employment where you as an hourly employee need to be able to work at least four shifts per month.

Who are we looking for?

You are a trained caregiver or nursing assistant with at least one year of experience in psychiatric care or have completed the nursing program in semester 3 or the medical program in semester 5 (GU) or semester 6 at another university, and have experience in psychiatric care.

You can communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. If you have additional language skills, it is an advantage.

As a person, you should be service-oriented and flexible. You have a genuine interest in people and feel a strong commitment to your work. Since you have the opportunity to work across multiple areas, you need to be a good team player with an open-minded attitude towards new environments and workgroups. You should be independent and secure in your professional role, calm and attentive in your demeanor with clear boundary-setting in your decision-making. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

To be qualified for the position, you should attach:

• Final grades, diploma, or certificate from your training as a caregiver/nursing assistant
• Certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare allowing you to use the title Nursing Assistant - if you have this
• If you have an ongoing education as a medical or nursing student, you should attach results and registration certificates indicating which semester you are in and how many credits you have completed so far.
