Lofoten Biomarine AS is part of Lofoten Viking AS and Nergård Gruppen, and is Norway's first climate-neutral producer of fish oil and fish protein concentrate.

Our factory in Værøy started test production in the autumn of 2023 and offers state-of-the-art production facilities with advanced technology. We combine sustainable production with local anchoring and a work environment that encourages initiative, responsibility, and personal development.

About the Position

As an industrial mechanic / maintenance worker, you will be a central part of the operation of our factory. You will be responsible for ensuring that machines and process equipment operate efficiently and safely, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of machines and process equipment
• Troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance
• Participate in improvement projects and technical development work
• Documentation and follow-up in digital systems
• Responsible for tools and equipment in the department
• Participate in on-call duty if needed

Qualifications

• Trade certificate as an industrial mechanic, machine or automation assembler is an advantage
• Practical experience from industry, production, or technical maintenance
• Good technical understanding and experience using tools
• Basic IT skills for documentation and system management
• Independent, meticulous, and with good collaboration skills
