Ljusdal Energi is a municipal-owned group with seven different companies. We are about 90 colleagues who all work passionately to make everyday life work for our customers in recycling, heating, electricity, broadband, water & sewage. We are now looking for an environmental and waste worker for Ljusdal Waste Management, which is responsible for waste collection, bulky waste, sludge emptying, and our recycling center Åkerslund, from April to September 2026.

About the job

In the role of environmental and waste worker, you will work at our recycling ramp with customer reception and be our face to the public. You will inform, guide, and help our customers sort their waste correctly. The job also includes:

• Control and weighing of incoming waste
• Sorting of materials such as bulky waste, garden waste, and electronic waste
• Administrative tasks including reporting and invoicing support
• Sales of containers, latrine containers, bags, etc.
• Sorting of hazardous waste
• Cleaning and keeping the recycling center tidy
• Other common tasks at the recycling center

You will work at our recycling center Åkerslund in Ljusdal, and the work is conducted outdoors. The job can at times be physically demanding and involve heavy lifting.

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment starting in April until the end of September 2026.

About you

You have completed high school education and/or equivalent experience. You have good computer skills and are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

A large part of the work as an environmental and waste worker involves contact and providing service to our customers. Therefore, we are looking for someone with a strong service mindset and an interest in informing and guiding our customers. You will work alongside knowledgeable colleagues, but the job also requires a lot of personal responsibility and the ability to work independently. You are organized and capable of planning and prioritizing your work effectively. You have good teamwork skills, are solution-focused, and value a carefully executed job. Personal suitability is highly emphasized.
