Music Teacher Grades 4–9 (100%) Your New Job

International English School Österåker is a newly established F–9 school located in Åkersberga with good transport links to central Stockholm. We are now looking for a certified music teacher for grades 4–9.

As a teacher with us, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, assessment, and grading in accordance with the applicable curriculum. The position also includes mentorship for one of the classes you teach. You are expected to participate in meetings with guardians, students, and colleagues, as well as actively contribute to upholding the school's values and vision.

Your Profile

You are a certified music teacher for grades 4–9. As a person, you are flexible, engaged, and a clear leader in the classroom. You are creative and passionate about inspiring students through both practical and theoretical aspects of the music subject.

You have the ability to create a positive and structured learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop based on their conditions. You adapt your teaching to meet the needs of different students and are happy to collaborate with the student health team and special educators to work inclusively.

You see continuous and clear feedback to students and guardians as a natural part of your role and communicate both progress and areas for development in a professional manner.

Teaching primarily takes place in Swedish, but you need to feel comfortable communicating in English with colleagues in our international work environment.

The position is full-time (100%).

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

A valid extract from the criminal record for work in schools is mandatory upon employment.
