Birger Jarls Gymnasium is growing, and we are therefore looking for another skilled and experienced mathematics teacher for a 85% position.

About the position

The role involves teaching primarily mathematics level 1b and level 2b. Many of our students struggle with mathematics, which is why it is crucial that you are a patient and pedagogical teacher with the ability to support and inspire students who are facing challenges with the subject for various reasons.

As a teacher at Birger Jarls Gymnasium, you will be part of a tight-knit team of teachers across different subjects, and you are therefore expected to be cooperative and considerate towards your colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are certified and qualified to teach mathematics at the upper secondary level. We prefer that you have approximately 2–3 years of professional experience, and previous experience from upper secondary school is considered an asset.

The role includes shared mentorship of a class together with another teacher.

As a mathematics teacher, you are expected to have experience with the administration and handling of National Tests (NP) on all levels you teach.

Additionally, standard administrative duties such as documentation, student follow-up, and contact with guardians are included.

About the school:

Birger Jarls Gymnasium in Stockholm was established in the autumn of 2018. The school currently has just over 200 students.

The school offers two university-preparatory programs:

• The Economics Programme with specializations in economics and law.
• The Social Sciences Programme with specializations in social sciences and behavioral sciences.
