Job Description

At AFRY Advanced Automation, we specialize in industrial automation and are now looking for more employees for our growing initiative in Stockholm. With us, you will work on technology-intensive and exciting assignments where we deliver tailored automation solutions to clients in both the private and public sectors.

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in all phases of projects – from idea to commissioning. You will work closely with our clients to design and implement solutions that meet their needs and requirements. The assignments vary from minor programming changes and system upgrades to the construction of entire factories and facilities.

You will work with:

• Programming in DCS, PLC, and SCADA
• Methodical troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
• Documentation and quality assurance
• Technical consulting and client dialogue

Deliveries are made both as expert services and as complete functional or total commitments. The work is performed partly at local clients and partly in our in-house projects at the offices.

Example of a current project

We are currently in the midst of a comprehensive renovation project where we are developing a treatment plant in Stockholm into one of the world's most modern. The project includes a new treatment facility with membrane technology to increase capacity and meet heightened environmental requirements. AFRY is responsible for all electrical design and automation, and today about 25 people are working on the internal project from our offices in Stockholm.

The project is now entering a new phase, and we are therefore looking for a senior automation engineer to strengthen the team, located in Solna or Södertälje.

• Relevant education in the field or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in design projects for new process facilities.
• Extensive experience as an automation engineer and good knowledge of working with Siemens software, specifically SIMATIC PCS 7 is highly meritorious. Experience with other DCS/PLC/SCADA is also relevant and interesting for the position.
• Possess a B driver's license as travel is a natural part of your role.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
