The unit also has its own greenhouse where we cultivate annuals and are responsible for planting Malmö City’s flower program.

We are now looking for a team leader for the unit's Nature Conservation Group.

Through this advertisement, we are also seeking a team leader for a parental leave substitute in one of the western contract's operational groups.

Job Responsibilities

As a team leader, you will plan, develop, and lead the work for your group consisting of approximately 10-12 employees.

You have a trust-based working method that permeates all parts of the assignment. You have personnel and work environment responsibility for the employees in your group and report to the section manager, who is part of the Grounds Maintenance management team. You will also participate in the implementation of processes and the ongoing development of the operations.

Your tasks are both administrative and operational, and through the partnership with the Property and Street Administration, you will prioritize and plan maintenance work together with the aim of developing the city’s nature and water environments.

In addition to leadership, the daily work includes handling incoming feedback and error reports, participating as a knowledge resource in various projects, working on the establishment of documents, invoicing, financial follow-up, and developing employees within the nature conservation group, etc.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A completed high school education in green space management or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Documented leadership experience.
  • Good administrative skills.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • A university degree or other supplementary education focusing on Nature Conservation.
  • Experience navigating a large organization with high complexity.
  • Experience in large-scale green space management.

Through a trust-based leadership style, you support and motivate your employees while giving them responsibility and the opportunity to develop. It is important that you enjoy interacting with people and feel secure in the leadership role, which involves making clear decisions, communicating in a straightforward and clear manner while being responsive to both your employees and our partners' needs.

For us, it is important that you are a team player and that collaboration occurs in close dialogue. We see planning activities and projects efficiently and in good time as a prerequisite.
