Curator at the Community Building Administration
The Community Building Administration's culture and leisure department works to create meaningful leisure activities for our residents and encourage visitors to return.
As a curator, you will work in the department for culture and outdoor life, based at the Örnsköldsvik Museum and Art Hall.
Responsibilities
Your main focus will be the dissemination of cultural heritage through various forms of programming, exhibitions, and lectures, both at the museum and throughout the municipality. The prioritized target group is children and youth. Dissemination can also occur through digital channels or other means that help all target groups access cultural heritage. As a curator, you may also assist with other tasks related to the museum's operations.
You will be based at the Örnsköldsvik Museum & Art Hall, but the assignment covers the entire municipality. We work with a flexible approach, which means you have the opportunity to work remotely part of your working hours if the tasks allow.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with broad knowledge of cultural heritage and history, as well as documented experience in pedagogy. You have a university degree or work experience that we consider relevant.
You are outgoing and comfortable meeting a diverse range of people. You are structured and work methodically towards set deadlines and goals. Collaborating is as natural for you as independently taking on your own assignments. Personal suitability is highly valued.
A valid driver's license with category B is required.
This position is a parental leave substitute with the possibility of extension for a maximum of three months.
Please attach your CV and cover letter with your application.

During the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents are Passport, International ID card, Driver's license + personal certificate from the tax office, or another ID document that confirms citizenship.
We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sámi varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both Finnish and Sámi administrative areas.
In our municipality, several positions are classified as security-sensitive, so a security review may be conducted. These positions require Swedish citizenship.
