The Municipal Executive Office is the administration of the Municipal Council and the Municipal Assembly. The office also serves as an administration for the Integration and Labor Market Committee as well as the Water and Environment Committee.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want a key role in ensuring a safe and professional data protection operation in one of the region's largest organizations? We are now looking for a Data Protection Coordinator who wants to contribute to the development and coordination of Kalmar Municipality's work with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and personal data management.

As a Data Protection Coordinator, you will have overall responsibility for coordinating and supporting the municipality's compliance with GDPR and other regulations regarding the protection of personal data. In each administration and company, there is a GDPR coordinator, and you will be their natural contact person and support in both strategic and operational matters. You will also drive the municipality's GDPR network.

Your main responsibilities:

• Monitor the legal area and disseminate knowledge within the municipality
• Coordinate and follow up on data protection issues at a common and overarching level
• Be responsible for internal and external communication regarding data protection
• Plan joint activities and drive strategic data protection issues
• Assist in incident assessments, impact assessments (DPIA), and risk analyses
• Support procurement and development of common routines and processes

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in law, information security, IT, or another relevant field. You preferably have advanced training in GDPR/data protection and experience working with personal data management, preferably in the public sector.

We seek someone who is self-driven, structured, and meticulous, with high integrity. You are pedagogical and clear in your communication and can easily explain complex rules in an understandable way. At the same time, you enjoy working with others and contribute to a positive and safe group dynamic, where knowledge is willingly shared, and support is provided when needed.
