FörTjust! - We are looking for cemetery workers for seasonal employment

Södra Tjust Parish was established in 2014 and consists of the congregations of Västervik, Törnsfall, Gladhammar-Västrum, Hjorted, Misterhult, and Hallingeberg-Blackstad. There are twelve churches, several chapels, and parish houses with extensive activities. Our vision is a Present Church with the guiding words joy, community, and hope for the future! The cemetery administration in Södra Tjust Parish is part of the Church of Sweden and is responsible for tasks related to burial operations as well as the management of our churches and cemeteries.

We are now looking for cemetery workers for seasonal employment based in Västervik and the countryside. The employment period is between April and November. We can offer a varied job where you have the opportunity to use your green skills. You will be part of a good work community and are expected to participate in the development of our operations. The daily work in the team of 2-10 people requires that you enjoy collaborating and can work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

The work includes various tasks at the cemetery such as grave maintenance, lawn mowing, and weed removal. The job may also involve maintenance and construction work.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with gardening education and/or experience in cemetery or park work or has skills that we consider equivalent. You must be at least 18 years old and have a B driver's license.

Meritorious:

Previous work with the maintenance and establishment of green areas. Experience working with machinery in the field. We would like you to want to develop your green skills in the profession, both practically and theoretically.
