About the position

The Hushållningssällskapet Kalmar Kronoberg Blekinge has a well-developed field trial operation conducted in collaboration with several different trial hosts. Our focus is to carry out crop trials with high scientific quality in all conceivable crops such as grass, cereals, oilseeds, corn, beans, and onions. Trials are conducted including variety testing, plant protection, and irrigation.

We are now looking for a leader for our trial operations at the Torslunda trial station on Öland. Here we conduct field trials both at the station and with farmers in the area. You will also be responsible for conducting soil mapping for customers, mainly in Kalmar, Blekinge, and Kronoberg counties.

Your responsibility will be trials with the major agricultural crops, and you will have a horticultural manager to assist with other crops. If you want a developing job as a team leader where you learn a lot about crop cultivation with varied tasks, this is the job for you.

About you

We are looking for someone with documented experience in crop cultivation with agricultural crops and preferably educated as a Land Surveyor or Agronomist. You thrive in a role where you collaborate with many different stakeholders and communicate clearly and professionally. As a person, you are structured and meticulous, and you have a natural ability to lead and create engagement in a smaller team. Above all, we place great importance on your personal qualities and how you can complement and strengthen our team.

Qualifications

• Experience in crop cultivation with agricultural crops

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English as the position requires it.

• Driving license at least BE.

• Possess a pesticide certificate.

Meritorious

• Educated Land Surveyor or Agronomist.

• Training or previous experience in leadership - If you are interested in eventually taking on increased responsibility in the form of a site manager role, with personnel and work environment responsibility – we see this as meritorious, but it is not a requirement for the position.
