The role of a meal assistant with us

As an employee in our pool team, you have the opportunity to see and get to know several different workplaces and colleagues within the municipality. This is because your workplace shifts depending on the needs in the meal operations.

As a meal assistant in the pool, you will primarily be placed in a receiving kitchen at a preschool where you work independently. However, you may also be placed in a production or receiving kitchen at a school or a care home. You will work with the preparation of breakfast, lunch, and snacks as well as other tasks such as receiving goods, dishwashing, and cleaning.

Your profile

You are flexible and enjoy the variety of working in different kitchens. As a person, you work well with others, are accommodating, and responsive in your interactions. You create new contacts as well as nurture your current work relationships. You take initiative and often come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You also take responsibility for your tasks and are good at organizing and planning your work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• has education in restaurant/catering or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent
• knowledge through studies/experience of food hygiene and special diets
• has good computer skills
• has a B driver's license and access to a car
• expresses themselves well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work

It is desirable if you have:

• experience of working in a large kitchen
