The Role of Company Nurse/Occupational Health Nurse

The company nurse's tasks include providing support to organizations in systematic work environment efforts. You will meet managers and employees on issues related to work environment and work-oriented rehabilitation. Mapping of the work environment and medical checks according to work environment legislation, as well as support in alcohol and drug-related matters, are other tasks. In your role, you provide consultative support to clients (managers, employees, and HR in the region).

The work as a company nurse is varied, and you will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. In Värnamo, you will be the one most present and have the first contact with managers and employees. Others in the team also work partially at our other units. Some contacts are made digitally.

The position is full-time and permanent with a start date according to agreement.

Your Future Workplace

We at the Work Environment Unit assist organizations with specialist competence in work environment and rehabilitation, with the goal of contributing to a good work environment, preventing work-related ill health, and contributing to a sustainable working life. We are over 20 employees distributed across three locations, including company nurses, psychologists, company doctors, occupational therapists, ergonomists, work environment engineers, and administrative coordinators. We are located in the hospital areas of both Jönköping and Värnamo. You will be based in Jönköping or Värnamo, depending on where you live. The majority of the work is located at Värnamo Hospital (about 3 days/week), where you will also be responsible for the team.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse, preferably with further training as a company nurse/occupational health nurse. You may also be an experienced nurse in another specialty, such as a district nurse. You have a strong interest in work environment and rehabilitation. We would like you to have experience working with a consultative approach. Since our clients are located throughout the county, you need to have a driver's license.

To thrive in this role, you need to be confident and stable, self-driven and flexible, have good collaboration skills, and be structured.
