Operations Technician/Repairer Wanted in Falkenberg Municipality

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as an operations technician/repairer with us.

Your closest colleagues will be a wonderful team of 13 people, and you will be based at our Facility Store at Falcon Alcohol-Free Arena. Together with the unit manager, you and your colleagues are responsible for Falkenberg's sports facilities and Falcon Alcohol-Free Arena, sports halls, football fields, ice rink, outdoor gym, disc golf course, exercise trails, lake swimming, hiking trails, and rental of the bowling hall.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an operations technician/repairer at municipal sports facilities, you are responsible for ensuring that the facilities are in good condition, functional, and safe for the public and athletes. You are part of the technical operations and work with everything from daily operations to maintenance and repairs of machines and tools.

Your tasks include, among others:

• operation and maintenance of sports facilities such as sports halls, football fields, ice rinks, and athletics facilities.
• performing inspections and handling minor repairs of buildings, equipment, and systems, for example in plumbing, electricity, and ventilation. The work also includes checking lighting, sound systems, and other technical equipment.
• repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and technical systems, addressing issues with sports equipment such as goals, nets, and training tools.
• maintenance of outdoor areas, such as care and preparation of sports surfaces like grass and artificial turf fields, snow removal and ice control during winter, as well as watering, mowing, and land maintenance during spring and summer.

Safety and quality are central to the work, which means ensuring that facilities and equipment comply with applicable safety standards.

An important aspect of the job is also service and collaboration. This means supporting organizers during sports events with setup and technical support, as well as maintaining good communication with associations, schools, and the public.

The operations run all week, which means that the position involves work during daytime, evenings, and weekends, as well as on-call duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

The role requires a vehicle technical education and experience and training in welding. Knowledge in electricity, plumbing, ventilation, or similar areas is an advantage.

We are looking for a person who is service-oriented and responsible with a strong focus on problem-solving and a technical mindset. The ability to quickly and effectively solve technical problems is an important trait, as well as being able to work both independently and in a team. As a person, you are meticulous, with attention to detail and quality in your work, while also being flexible and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Of course, you also contribute to a good working environment and positive collaboration with colleagues.

Requirements:

• Driving license B (manual transmission)
• You are an experienced computer user and comfortable working in various IT systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
