Sannarpsgymnasiet offers the following programs: Natural Science Program, Economic Program, Social Science Program, Child and Leisure Program, Health and Care Program, and Introduction Program. Sannarpsgymnasiet is also Halmstad's largest sports high school with National Sports Education, NIU, in football, handball, swimming, table tennis, athletics, and badminton. Sports and health, as well as joy of movement, permeate the school's activities. Sannarpsgymnasiet also includes Kristinehedsgymnasiet with the Vehicle and Transport Program. Our education contributes to creating the foundation for a sustainable study environment with studies and health at the center.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a school librarian for Sannarpsgymnasiet's library, and as a school librarian, your task is to drive and develop our library into a well-integrated part of the operation. The school library is an educational resource for teaching and schoolwork and should support learning and contribute to students' goal fulfillment.

The work involves, in addition to performing traditional librarian tasks, primarily dialogue and pedagogical meetings with students. The library and the school's teachers have an established collaboration that includes planning for class visits, inspiring reading, students' graduation projects, guidance, and teaching in information retrieval and source criticism (MIK).

At our library, you will work closely with another librarian in a daily environment characterized by collaboration and community.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in library and information science. Experience working as a librarian is an advantage. We also prefer candidates with experience as a school librarian or working with children and youth. Good Swedish in speech and writing and good digital competence are requirements for the role.

You need to be communicative and able to adapt your communication depending on the target group, recipient, and reactions. Furthermore, you are good at collaborating and building relationships with both students and adults. You are accustomed to working both independently and in a team and have a good ability to plan, execute, and follow up on work. We prefer candidates who are proactive, take initiative, and are creative in their work.

You act according to our municipality's common values and are a role model for other employees. You encourage participation and creativity, show personal care by providing support and confronting in a good spirit, both for your closest colleagues and for the organization as a whole.

You do this by proving your citizenship in the EU/EES or Switzerland through a passport, national ID card, or personal certificate together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to present a work permit or show that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.
