Are you willing to learn a lot of new things in a short time while making a contribution to healthcare? We are currently looking for summer substitutes to join our team working with patient-related services at the Hospital in Ystad as well as cleaning services. We are targeting those who do not have any healthcare education but are interested in gaining insight into the healthcare environment through work with various service tasks in a care department.

At our workplace, Service Team Ystad, we currently have about 65 service employees with different specializations and competencies such as basic transport/supply, cleaning, logistics, and patient-related services. All with the willingness to do their utmost to facilitate the work of healthcare personnel so they can spend more time on the patient's recovery. Our most important focus is to reduce the spread of infection in all aspects, regardless of the tasks we perform. All employees therefore have basic training in Danish hygiene standards and cleaning in healthcare environments. We want to be role models and knowledge bearers in healthcare hygiene.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a service employee, you can work within either the Service Host unit or the Cleaning unit, depending on the needs of the operations and your placement.

In the role of Service Host, you support the care departments with several different tasks, such as cleaning and meal management. You work with regular cleaning, patient-related cleaning, and infection cleaning, as well as in the department kitchen where you prepare and manage breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You also assist with other service efforts in the department to contribute to a well-functioning healthcare environment.

Within the Cleaning unit, you are primarily responsible for cleaning clinics and other common areas.

The work takes place in a hospital environment at the Hospital in Ystad, where you work side by side with nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, and janitors. In your daily work, you also have contact with patients who are present in the facilities.

The operations are conducted Monday to Sunday, which means that working hours may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Working hours vary, and needs may arise at all hours of the day.

We plan to hold interviews on March 31 and April 8.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is at least 18 years old. The position requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, which means you need to be able to understand information and communicate with colleagues, healthcare personnel, and patients. It is an advantage if you have cleaning training, SRY, Danish hygiene standards, INSTA800, and/or work experience in cleaning. Previous experience in the service industry is also an advantage.
