Fagersta Stainless is one of the leading manufacturers in the world of stainless steel wire rod and drawn wire. Our headquarters and production are located in Fagersta, Sweden. In our rolling mill, approximately 50,000 tons of wire rod are produced annually, of which about 10,000 tons are further processed into drawn wire. Fagersta Stainless has a turnover of approximately 160 million Euros and around 250 employees. Our products are sold worldwide directly from us or through a network of representatives. Fagersta Stainless is part of the Marcegaglia group, a global leader in steel manufacturing.

The owner of Fagersta Stainless, Marcegaglia, has invested 1.2 billion in our production where the major changes are taking place in our Rolling Mill. We need to prepare for the future and are therefore looking for production workers for the department.

The tasks mainly involve the following:

• Monitoring and controlling the process at Duon's new furnaces, etc.
• Participating in changes, settings, and adjustments within your own work area.
• Performing ongoing operator maintenance within your own work area.
• Gas cutting and return handling as needed.
• Initiating orders for consumables and media within your own work area.

About you

You who are applying should have a high school education and experience from similar work and need to feel comfortable in a process-controlled environment. Previous experience in simpler maintenance or an interest in mechanics is an advantage as you will participate in changes and adjustments.

Since you will be working with process monitoring and process control, you also need good computer skills and enjoy working in a job that places high demands on accuracy and attention.

Forklift and overhead crane licenses are advantageous.

Other

The working hours are currently two shifts with a 38-hour work week, with morning shift hours Monday - Friday between 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and afternoon shift hours Monday - Thursday between 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
