Custodian at the County Administrative Board of Gotland

The County Administrative Board works on behalf of the government to ensure that national goals are implemented in the county. Our broad activities encompass environmental, nature, cultural heritage, business, community planning, rural, emergency preparedness, and total defense issues. In dialogue with other actors, we coordinate various interests and promote sustainable development in Gotland.

We have over 150 employees, and our head is Governor Charlotte Petri Gornitzka.

Description

Do you want to work broadly and support the operations in a qualitative and service-oriented way? We are looking for a custodian for the County Administrative Board of Gotland for a temporary position.

You will belong to the unit for coordination and support, which consists of operational areas and functions within finance, operational control, procurement, law, HR, communication, registration/archive, and service and security. The unit consists of about 30 employees, and you will belong to the service and security function.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include providing support to employees within the operations. You will work broadly with internal service and may work with the following tasks:

• On-site support regarding installation and management of furniture and technical equipment (computers, telephony, and peripherals)
• Management of the agency's vehicle fleet regarding servicing vehicles, cleaning, and general order
• Support in reception duties with staffing the reception
• Contact point for service technicians, cleaning staff, and other external actors performing work in the agency's premises
• Support with certain purchases and goods reception
• Support for the operations conducted at the residence in Visby

Qualifications

You have a broad knowledge base, are operational, self-driven, and can tackle various issues within internal service at the agency.

You have experience in working with internal service and the described tasks.

Experience in public sector work is an advantage, especially from the state.

Personal qualities

As a person, you are communicative, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. You are used to working independently and taking your own initiatives. You need to be responsive to the needs of the operations and have the ability to see the bigger picture. Furthermore, you have good judgment, integrity, and are a good representative of the agency. You express yourself well in speech and writing. You also have a good security awareness.

The pace can sometimes be high, so it is important that you can prioritize and work structured even in pressured situations. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Conditions

The position is a temporary position starting in June 2026 or earlier by agreement until June 2027.

Security clearance with background check will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act before a hiring decision is made. Swedish citizenship is required for the position.

The County Administrative Board has coordination responsibility within both crisis preparedness and total defense in the county. This means that you as an employee may be part of the crisis management organization and may be assigned to military service.
