Description of Nature in Höga Kusten

The County Administrative Board's unit for Nature in Höga Kusten works to preserve, make accessible, and tell the story of the unique nature of Höga Kusten.

We are responsible for the management of 30 nature reserves and Skuleskogen National Park, coordinating the management of UNESCO's World Heritage Site and running the operations at Naturum Höga Kusten at the foot of Skuleberget.

Skuleskogen National Park has developed into a very popular destination with thousands of visitors during the peak season. To effectively manage the traffic flows into the national park, provide good service to visitors, and strengthen supervision, the County Administrative Board is seeking about three national park hosts for the summer of 2026.

Your Tasks

You will spend your days in and around the national park to manage traffic flows, guide visitors, and exercise supervision. You will also work on the operation of our entrances and other outdoor facilities such as trail systems, overnight cabins, and rest areas.

Your tasks include talking to visitors, cleaning cabins, maintaining toilets, emptying trash, and performing simple carpentry and clearing work, among other things. You may also visit other protected areas in Höga Kusten.

The positions are temporary for about two months with a start date of June 15.

Work will partially take place in the evenings and on weekends.

You will be part of the County Administrative Board's field management located at Skuleberget and Naturum Höga Kusten, Docksta. The stationing location is Docksta.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education and/or work experience relevant to the tasks. You have a genuine interest in nature and outdoor activities, as well as extensive experience in nature. You are practical and skilled in simple carpentry and clearing work in the field.

We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is self-driven, service-oriented, and has a good ability to express themselves verbally in Swedish and English. Additional spoken language skills are an advantage.

The tasks require you to have good physical fitness and a driver's license.
