JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Street and Park Unit at the Technical Office is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's outdoor environment. This includes planning, development, maintenance, and management of the municipality's public areas such as streets, parks, squares, and other outdoor environments. Together we work to create a safe, well-functioning, and attractive outdoor environment for our residents and visitors.

We are now looking for seasonal workers for the summer of 2026!

You will work with the cleaning of streets, parks, and green areas as well as perform maintenance tasks such as lawn mowing, trimming, hedge trimming, watering, weeding, and leaf management. The work also includes simpler planting tasks, reporting of self-checks and deviations, and mentoring summer workers during the peak season. The position is full-time, daytime, and involves varied and physically active outdoor work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle and enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions and is available from April to October. You will be our face to citizens, tenants, and visitors to the municipality. The ability to work well with others, be outgoing, and easily create contacts while maintaining a high level of service is therefore seen as a given.

Previous experience in park or garden maintenance and experience in mentoring others is advantageous, as well as local knowledge of Sandviken Municipality.

To thrive with us and to be able to deliver in your assignment, it is important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances and preferably see opportunities in changes. You enjoy working in a group but have no problem working independently and acting on your own conviction.
