SiS Youth Home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We conduct differentiated and high-quality school, care, and treatment work. The operations involve a variety of professions, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and more. SiS Youth Home Nereby accepts both school-attending and non-school-attending boys and girls with psychosocial issues, as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse.

Job Description

As the organization is growing, we welcome your application. Currently, we have a psychology team of three psychologists, and we are expanding to four psychologists. SiS Youth Home Nereby consists of eight departments distributed across two geographically distinct locations, Harestad outside Kungälv and Bergsjön in Gothenburg. You will be part of a health and medical care team with two psychologists and several nurses, as well as an expanded care and treatment team together with the institution's treatment secretaries (equivalent to social workers). As a psychologist, you are expected to work in both geographically separated parts of the institution. Primarily, the position is based in Harestad.

As a psychologist, you will be responsible for assessment interviews and suicide assessments in all departments together with existing psychologists. You should be able to conduct psychiatric/neuropsychiatric investigations within the framework of the assignment Reception and Needs Assessment (MBB). Conduct training initiatives aimed at staff groups based on Save the Children's Trauma-Informed Care (TMO), SiS's developed suicide prevention training for client-facing staff, and training in neuropsychiatric disabilities. Consultations based on TMO together with department staff and school staff. Specific case supervision together with staff in the department and school as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment conferences in several of our departments. Psychoeducational interventions with youth in treatment departments as needed. Participate in student health at our school, Tallboskolan. This includes tasks at the individual, group, and organizational levels in relation to our school operations. Participate in planning and development of care, treatment, and investigation initiatives. All tasks are distributed and organized internally within the psychology group at the institution.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with an interest in and experience in the following areas:

  • Investigation and treatment of youth with behavioral and emotional disorders and contacts with their networks.
  • Clinical testing methodology including neuropsychological assessments.
  • Supervision with staff groups in social work and health care.

You should be able to work independently and take responsibility. The work requires high flexibility and good collaboration skills, which include being part of various interdisciplinary teams.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in institutional environments/psychiatric inpatient care,
  • Experience working with the target group of forcibly taken children and youth,
  • Experience in psychiatric/neuropsychiatric investigations with children and youth,
  • Experience working in student health.

A valid driver's license (B) is required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience is required.

Employment:
