Description
If you work as a substitute with us this summer, you have the chance to receive a summer bonus.
Timrå Municipality is looking for individuals who want to work as substitutes in any of our operations this summer. We are primarily looking for those who want a schedule with planned shifts, but also for those who want to be on-call substitutes. We see it as an advantage if you can start an onboarding process already in the spring.
The area of elderly care consists of home care groups, a night patrol, nursing homes, or support and care that includes service and group housing as well as a few users with personal assistance.
In all our operations, your tasks will include:
- Care tasks may include:
- Hygiene and support during toilet visits
- Dressing
- Cleaning and laundry
- Meal preparation/feeding
Delegated tasks you may perform:
- Medication handover
- Insulin administration
- Tube feeding
- Wound care
- Catheter care
All new summer substitutes are offered mandatory introductory training and, depending on your experience, also a medication training.
Home Care
In Timrå Municipality's home care groups, work is done during the day, evening, and weekends. There is also a night patrol that performs visits at night to users with home care.
In this work, you help people in their homes. The user's needs and approved services dictate which tasks you have.
To work in home care, delegation for medication handover is a requirement. In several of our home care groups, a driver's license is also a requirement.
Nursing and Care Homes
Our nursing homes are staffed around the clock, which means that you as staff may work during the day, evening, weekend, or night.
Working in a nursing and care home is, in many ways, similar to working in home care, but the users you meet here often have greater needs for care and support than those you meet in home care. You also work here in the user's home, and their needs dictate your tasks.
To work in a nursing home, we require that you can obtain delegation for medication handover.
Support for Individuals with Disabilities
In support for individuals with disabilities, shifts can be during the day, evening, weekends, or overnight with sleeping duty.
In a group or service housing, individuals with various disabilities reside. Your tasks are also dictated by the individual's needs and wishes. Common tasks may include planning and facilitating leisure activities or supporting contact with family or guardians. Work may sometimes be done together with colleagues, but there may also be solitary work.
In Timrå Municipality, we also have a few assignments in personal assistance, where you start from the user's individual needs and wishes and accompany them in their daily life. You will be a significant part of the person's well-being, and therefore we are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has a strong commitment to working with people.
To work in support for individuals with disabilities, delegation for medication handover is a requirement.
Summer Bonus, Travel Compensation, and Wellness Allowance
Conditions for the summer bonus of 6000 SEK.
- You must work continuously for eight weeks during one of these periods, which period will be determined based on the needs of the operation. Weeks 23-30, 24-31, 25-32, or 26-33.
- You may have a maximum of one instance of sick leave for no more than five days.
- You are also required to work at least 75% during these eight weeks.
Travel Compensation
Travel allowance of 50 SEK is paid for each working day provided that you have worked 10 shifts or more during an eight-week period.
You will also receive a wellness allowance.

Temporary employment
Qualifications and Recruitment Process
We are looking for someone who is responsible, attentive, has a good demeanor, and finds it easy to collaborate. You also need to have a desire to make the day as good as possible for the users that the operation is intended for.
Education in healthcare and/or previous experience in care work is an advantage.
A driver's license is a requirement for work in certain home care groups.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement as the work requires oral and written reporting in our journal system as well as communication with users and colleagues in the team. Language tests may occur.
For reference checking, you need to provide a previous manager or supervisor that you have had.
If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will be contacted by us to receive and provide more information. If you then proceed to an interview, you need to come prepared with the following documents:
- We will check citizenship and ID. If you are not a citizen of Sweden or another EU/EES country or Switzerland, you need to show that you have a residence and work permit. You also need to have a valid Swedish ID.
