Librarian Wanted at Forslundagymnasiet

The Gymnasium and Adult Education Board is responsible for the municipality's commitments under the school legislation for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults, and Swedish language instruction for immigrants. The board is also responsible for work-oriented rehabilitation and the municipal refugee reception. We collaborate to ensure that the municipality's citizens learn, develop, and can live an independent life. We have Sweden's most important job - our mission is to instill hope for the future.

Forslundagymnasiet is located about 5 km west of central Umeå and is a modern agricultural high school focusing on sustainable agriculture with highly competent teachers.

The school offers an agricultural program with three specializations, a construction and civil engineering program, and an adapted upper secondary school with two programs. Additionally, we have three higher vocational education programs in the field. Forslundas educational philosophy is that students in vocational programs should do things “for real.” Therefore, we run our own production farm with livestock, a stable with our own trotting horses, and we also have other animals typically found in zoological trade. We also operate a farm shop and have gardens and greenhouses. Next to the school is Hippologum, one of Sweden's largest riding facilities.

We are now looking for a school librarian, welcome to apply!
