Your new workplace
Granlunda elderly care home is located in the Bergsåker district and consists of seven departments, five of which are dementia-focused and two somatic-focused.
The goal of the operation is to provide good and quality-assured care based on individual needs and grounded in the national value framework.
The current position is in a dementia department. Since we use resource passes in our operations, work in other departments may also occur occasionally.
Work hours are scheduled for days and evenings (weekdays and weekends).
Your contribution as a nursing assistant
As a nursing assistant, your tasks include providing quality care to our clients based on individual needs. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively with others in the team. We work in teams that include care staff, nurses, and rehabilitation personnel.
Tasks include:
- Providing care and service to residents with high quality.
- Establishing and following up on night interventions in the care plan in close communication with the care recipient.
- Documentation according to SoL and HSL.
- Risk assessments concerning the care recipient and your own work environment.
- Guidance (e.g., new employees and students).
- Development of the operation and your own working methods.
- Performing delegated tasks according to HSL.
- Advocacy role based on needs.
- Performing laundry and cleaning.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in working with people and a desire to help others.
- Has training as a nursing assistant with approved grades.
- Can express themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing (at least completed SFI D education).
- Focuses on the resident's needs and is attentive to their wishes.
- Is service-oriented, calm, and able to handle stressful situations in a controlled manner.
- Has good verbal skills. In communication with individuals with cognitive impairments, you should be able to express yourself briefly, calmly, and clearly when various situations arise, ensuring a good response.
- Is flexible and can quickly adapt to new conditions and prioritize your tasks.
- Takes responsibility for your tasks, is independent, attentive, and strives to find solutions.
- Has good teamwork skills.
- Is computer literate.
It is an advantage if you:
- Have completed online training courses such as Dementia ABC, ABC plus, and zero vision.
- Have experience in a caring profession.
- Have experience working with individuals who have cognitive impairments.
