Mava Heart Department in Örnsköldsvik belongs to the Local Healthcare Area North. The department focuses on cardiology and medical acute care. Here, we work in teams of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants with the patient in focus. Our working method, team care, means that the team works closely together with each other and the patient.

We are constantly working to improve and develop our operations. Patient safety, professional development, and work environment are some of the issues we value highly.

We at MAVA are now looking for 8 nursing assistants for summer temporary positions in 2026. We are a large department with many medical diagnoses, and you will learn something new every day! The breadth of our patient clientele gives you good experience in acute care. In the department, we have a mentoring nurse who is there for the staff and provides you with an extra safe start to your employment. The onboarding in the department lasts for two weeks, and you will also receive internal training such as CPR and practical skills training.

Start date according to agreement.

Nursing Assistant for MAVA Heart Department, Örnsköldsvik Summer 2026

Job Responsibilities

Nursing and medical technical tasks for nursing assistants in an acute care department:

  • Basic nursing,
  • Monitoring vital signs
  • Venipuncture
  • Blood cultures
  • Insertion and removal of catheters
  • Dressing changes
  • Daily routines
Additional InformationQualifications

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a trained nursing assistant, or someone studying to become a doctor or nurse who has completed semester 4 (semester 3 for Umeå University)
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you

  • Have experience in medical acute care
  • Have experience in acute care
