Description

We are now looking for an audiologist for the Adult Hearing Team in Borås.

The hearing service operates throughout the Västra Götaland Region and provides support and treatment to individuals with permanent hearing loss, deafness, and deafblindness of all ages. Collaboration occurs with Ear, Nose, and Throat clinics, other services within Habilitation & Health, user organizations, colleges, and universities. The service also accepts students for supervision.

Responsibilities

As an audiologist in our unit, you will work with extended hearing rehabilitation, both in groups and individually. Some diagnostics are included. We work in a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, social workers, hearing educators, hearing engineers, and doctors. We work person-centered and base our work on the patient's unique needs. The measures are based on a holistic view in collaboration with the patient and relatives. Depending on the needs of the service, work with basic hearing rehabilitation may also occur.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed audiologist. It is advantageous if you have experience from clinical work in both diagnostics and rehabilitation; we are looking for someone interested in working with extended hearing rehabilitation and who has a positive attitude towards teamwork. Basic and differential diagnostics are included. It is beneficial if you have experience and competence in working with extended hearing rehabilitation, severe hearing loss, advanced tinnitus rehabilitation, fitting of assistive devices, and bone-anchored technology. You are flexible, patient, and have experience with the Auditbase, Noah, and Melior journal systems. You are accustomed to using digital technology in treatment.

Great emphasis is placed on good collaboration skills and personal suitability. We prefer that you have a B driver's license as travel may occasionally be required.
