Are you a person who is passionate about helping others? Do you want a meaningful job where you contribute to a better everyday life for the elderly in Malmö? We are now looking for dedicated nursing assistants and caregivers for hourly employment and temporary positions before, during, and after the summer of 2026.

Job Responsibilities

As a substitute with us, you are a key person in the daily lives of the elderly. Your tasks vary depending on the operation but include, among other things:

• Personal Care: Assistance with hygiene, showering, toilet visits, and dressing.
• Service: Cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
• Health: Medication delegation (after training), support during outdoor activities and social events.
• Administration: Documentation in our operational systems and contact with relatives.

Working Hours

• Shifts occur during the day, evening, and/or night.
• You are expected to work weekends in most of our operations.
• The summer period runs from week 22-35, but we also need substitutes before and after the summer.
• You need to be able to work at least 6 consecutive weeks during the summer period if you are interested in working during the summer.

Work Areas and Shifts

• Home Care: Assistance in the home, which may include cooking, dressing, mobility assistance, shopping, and personal hygiene. You work independently and get around by bicycle or car. In home care, you work weekdays and weekends, either day (07:00-15:30), evening (15:00-23:00), or night (22:00-07:30).
• Care and Nursing Home: Care and supervision in the form of personal hygiene, meal preparation, mobility assistance, cleaning, laundry, and activities. In our homes, you work weekdays and weekends, either day and evening (06:45-16:00 or 12:00-22:00) or night (20:45-07:15).
• Short-term Care: Rehabilitative work with medical interventions. In short-term care, you work weekdays and weekends, either day and evening (06:45-16:00 or 12:00-22:00) or night (20:45-07:15).
• Escort/Reliever: Support for activities outside the home or relief in the home for individuals with disabilities or dementia. You work independently based on the user's needs and get around by bicycle. You work weekdays and weekends at varying times, from 9:00 to 19:00.

Requirements

• Age: You must be at least 18 years old by the start of employment.
• Language: You have good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written). Multilingualism is considered an asset.
• Skills: Computer proficiency and ability to document.
• Physical requirements: In home care and as an escort, cycling is a requirement. A driver's license is an advantage.
• Experience: For work in short-term care, at least 2 years of documented experience in care and nursing is required.

As a person, you need to be able to adapt quickly to changes and see opportunities in new situations. You collaborate well with others, are attentive, and communicate clearly. You have the ability to understand others' perspectives and can empathetically handle others' feelings with a calm and friendly approach. You are committed to helping others and work to find solutions that meet their needs.

Important - Requirement for a Criminal Record Extract

Before employment, you must present an extract from the criminal record.

• Order the extract "Control of Your Own Data" at polisen.se.
• Do this immediately as processing time can take several weeks.
• You will present the extract only at a potential interview.
