Process Technician for Surface Treatment at Saab Aeronautics

Your Role

We are looking for a Process Technician for our Surface Treatment within the manufacturing area Processing, which is part of Fighter Production at Saab Aeronautics site Tannefors in Linköping.

As a Process Technician, you will play a central role in ensuring the daily operations of our surface treatment processes. With us, you will be part of a small and dedicated team - something we see as one of our greatest strengths. The close collaboration allows you to work closely with colleagues in production, engineering, and quality, where you support each other, share knowledge, and drive the work forward together.

In this role, you will ensure that the daily production within surface treatment operates according to plan and quality requirements. You will also work with improvement initiatives and contribute to more efficient processes, as well as identify and resolve bottlenecks and problems in collaboration with production. An important part of the job is also to continuously monitor process data. During production peaks, you will also assist in operations to ensure a stable flow.

As a Process Technician, you will physically work with chemical handling and ensure the functionality of the water treatment process. This includes tasks such as:

• Inventory management
• Mixing chemicals
• Destruction of chemicals and/or mixtures
• Daily inspections
• Various forms of sampling

Since you will be working with chemicals daily, proper protective equipment and careful adherence to safety procedures are a given part of the job.

The working hours are during the day, with on-call duties.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who thrives in a production-oriented role with a lot of technology and collaboration. You are responsible, solution-focused, and have a clear drive to contribute to improvements in processes and work methods. You work independently and take responsibility, while also collaborating well with colleagues in different functions. With your analytical skills and interest in problem-solving, you see connections, identify areas for improvement, and translate ideas into practical solutions. You are curious, structured, and enjoy being in an environment that is constantly evolving.

We are looking for someone with experience from the manufacturing industry and who feels comfortable in a production environment. A technical or industrial education is an advantage, but not a requirement. We value equally the knowledge you have gained through practical experience. Experience in chemical handling, surface treatment, or water treatment is an advantage.

Other Requirements for the Position:

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, experience with Sharp is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
