Job Description
We are now looking for a new colleague to our team in sports and leisure.
The department currently consists of 9 people and has a comprehensive and multifaceted mission aimed at promoting an active and healthy lifestyle for the municipality's residents. We do this, among other things, by:
- Supporting the associations through grants, training, dialogues, and development initiatives.
- Maintenance, management, and booking of sports and outdoor facilities including sports fields, sports halls, outdoor centers, and special areas such as ice rinks, skate parks, pétanque courts, ski trails, and plowed tracks on lake ice.
- Promoting public health by creating opportunities for physical activity and social interaction.
- Developing leisure activities for children and young people, among other things through the Leisure Bank.
As a sports facility caretaker, you will primarily work with our sports and outdoor facilities closely with your colleagues. The team you will join consists of a team leader and a total of three sports facility caretakers based at Kungsängen IP. You will mainly work with maintenance, supervision, and maintenance work of our sports facilities, spontaneous sports areas, and machinery. These are located throughout the municipality. The work is service-oriented with technical and practical elements. Problem-solving is an important part of the job, and some tasks may be physically demanding. During the winter period, evening and weekend work is included.
Below are examples of tasks included in the position:
- Maintenance of artificial and natural grass
- Maintenance of athletics tracks
- Preparation of natural and artificial ice rinks
- Preparation of ice trails on lake ice and ski trails
- Maintenance of ski trails
We are looking for someone who has:
- High school education
- Professional experience in the field
- Experience in practical work with the operation and maintenance of sports facilities.
- Experience with machinery such as tractors, ride-on lawn mowers, or ice machines
- Experience in service
- Good knowledge and interest in sports and associations.
- Manual B driver's license required, with truck driving license and experience driving with a trailer being meritorious
- Basic computer skills for booking systems and reporting issues
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

About the Position
The position is full-time. A probationary period may apply. Start date according to agreement, but not before April 1, 2026.
