About Hagfors Parish

Hagfors Parish consists of four churches, community centers, and cemeteries – places that mean a lot to many people. We are now looking for dedicated and practical cemetery workers who want to contribute to our operations by caring for our outdoor environments with care and professionalism.

The work area includes the cemeteries in Hagfors, Norra Råda, Sunnemo, and Gustav Adolf. You will be based in Hagfors or Råda.

Job Responsibilities

As a cemetery worker, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for the maintenance and upkeep of the parish's cemeteries and green areas in all weather conditions.

Your main job responsibilities include:

  • Planting and caring for summer flowers
  • Watering, weeding, and general cleanliness
  • Hedge trimming, with a strong focus on weed control in hedges, gravel paths, and hard surfaces, etc.
  • Lawn mowing and trimming
  • Basic maintenance of tools and machines
  • Opening and filling graves may occur.
  • Being the face of the cemetery and respectfully interacting with visitors.

Qualifications

  • Driver's license B (required) and experience driving garden tractors and ride-on mowers
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good physical condition, as the work can be physically demanding at times.
  • Ability to handle a smartphone, as we communicate via Teams and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cemetery work or equivalent practical work.
  • Plant knowledge
  • Experience driving garden tractors and ride-on mowers
