The area of operations (VO) Eye is an exciting and enjoyable medical field to work in. We have both an eye clinic and our own surgical operations, all housed in our own facilities. Here, doctors, nurses, orthoptists, optometrists, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and administrators work together. Our organization has a broad competence and good opportunities for guidance and professional development. We put the patient in focus and want our patients to receive the best care and a good reception.

Our unit is characterized by high patient flows that require planning, foresight, and the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions. The ability to provide good patient interaction and collaborate with other staff categories within the unit and external actors is of great importance.

We aim to become the Clinic of the Future and actively work on various change projects. It is important for us to have well-educated staff. Since we have high internal competence, we continuously train our employees in various areas within the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be offered a stimulating and varied work environment with good collegial cooperation. In your role as a nursing assistant, you will meet patients with various eye diseases. The work includes preparing patients for surgeries such as cataract surgery, eyelid surgeries, and eye injections. It also includes preparing the surgery together with the surgical nurse and assisting during the procedure. Work at the clinic may also be required.

When you start with us, you will be offered an introductory program based on your previous experiences. It is important for us that you, as an employee, have the opportunity to grow and develop with the organization.

The work is scheduled Monday to Friday, and we have on-call services until 5:00 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structures. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. The position requires nursing assistant training with a focus on emergency care and experience working within the Swedish healthcare system.

The work is suitable for a meticulous, creative, and structured person with the ability to think innovatively and contribute ideas. Curiosity and interest in eye care are important qualities for the role. A patient-centered approach and good reception, focusing on each patient's individual needs, are central. You are good at collaborating and see the team as an important part of the work.
