Seasonal Workers for the Street/Park Unit in Mullsjö Municipality

The Street/Park Unit is one of five units within the Community Building Administration and is responsible for the municipality's street and park operations. The other units are Property, Water and Sewage, Planning and Building, and the Food Unit.

We are now looking for seasonal workers who, together with other employees, will work on maintaining and caring for the municipality's streets and green areas from April to September.

We who work in the Street/Park Unit are a cheerful group with a high ceiling and great commitment, helping each other with the maintenance of streets, parks, green areas, and playgrounds. We work to create public environments that are safe, accessible, and usable by everyone.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job includes working with all types of green space maintenance such as lawn mowing, hedge trimming, grass trimming, and caring for and maintaining plantings, flowers, and trees. This includes clearing, weeding, pruning, and replanting, and the work involves the use of tool carriers, lawn mowers, brush cutters, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a basic high school education in gardening or equivalent. Preferably, you have experience in park and gardening work, preferably within municipal operations or equivalent work in green space maintenance.

Your personal qualities are the most important; team player, goal-oriented, responsible, proactive, and fitting into the group.

This is a physically demanding job, and you should enjoy being outdoors in all weather conditions.

To thrive in this role, you need to be self-driven, able to see the big picture, and be solution-oriented. The work involves both independent work and teamwork, and it is important that you can relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.

We believe you are a person with good self-awareness who is confident in yourself with a friendly demeanor and that you feel comfortable representing the municipality to citizens and businesses when you are in our public environments.

It is important to have a strong safety mindset since the work is performed both in and near traffic and with machinery in schools and preschools. You have sufficient knowledge of Swedish to communicate in the job and follow safety procedures.

It is advantageous if you have:

• education and/or experience in gardening/park work
• experience in handling and operating gardening machines, tool carriers, and brush cutters
• training for work platforms, forklift, and lift certificates

It is a requirement that you have a valid B driver's license for manual transmission.
