About Hällsboskolan

Hällsboskolan Umeå is a ten-year, state-run special school within the Swedish National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools. The school is a national, state special school for students with severe language impairment. We accept students from all over the country and offer student accommodation for children who cannot commute daily.

The school has a clear focus on language-supportive and language-developing teaching and adapts the school day based on the individual needs of the students. Teaching is based on the regulations for special schools according to the basic or adapted primary school curricula.

The school's goal is for students to have the opportunity to achieve knowledge goals, be involved and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals.

We have skilled and dedicated staff with high competence. The language-developing approach permeates our pedagogical work, and there is a close student health team.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a substitute at Hällsboskolan, you will work with meal service in our reception kitchen during lunch. In the role of meal staff, you will serve lunch and prepare snacks. The position also includes dishwashing and self-monitoring. You will also handle product orders and possibly have contact with the supplier.

We expect that you, as an applicant, apply the school's and the agency's governing documents and meet the requirements included in a government assignment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience working in a school cafeteria.
• Experience using IT.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with children with language impairment.
• Experience working with children in need of special support.
• Experience working with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities.
