As part of our Guest Service team, primarily working in conference and reception, you will be the heart of the entire guest experience — ensuring that every detail is seamless, from check-in to check-out and creating a hotel area that feels both personal and first-class. You bring energy, charm, and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every guest feels valued and inspired every minute with us.

Meeting & Event Host is responsible for the entire guest experience during the conference.

The role includes:

Welcoming guests and providing necessary information about evacuation procedures, restrooms, meals, and other details relevant to the event
Managing the flow of participants during the conference, ensuring smooth transitions between programs and breaks
Preparing conference rooms, including furniture, refreshments, technology, and equipment, as well as conducting inspections.
Ensuring all venues and conference areas are clean and tidy. Each arrangement is unique
Assisting with technical support and troubleshooting
Monitoring participant satisfaction and quickly addressing any issues or complaints
Meeting & Event Host is expected to have good knowledge of conference routines. This is to best accommodate our guests.
Meeting & Event Host is expected to have good technical knowledge across all venues regarding sound, light, and image.
Meeting & Event Host is expected to be present during breaks; fulfilling various requests from guests, keeping areas clean, replacing tables and chairs
Planning and managing your tasks independently, including shift work and weekend work as needed.
Ensuring that all items on the shift checklist are completed and recorded
Staying informed about ongoing events, contributing to the development of the department, and actively working with upselling
Close collaboration with project managers and assisting with coordination
Checking and issuing invoices for smaller conferences in consultation with the responsible person
Preparing and managing daily planning (PM) and handling changes continuously
Embodiment of Clarion's customer promise of style, quality, and energy in every guest interaction, uninterrupted delivery of high-quality, personalized customer service
Collaborating with colleagues across different departments to create a seamless, high-quality guest experience

Meeting & event host will make up the larger part of the role, but you will also work in our other guest service departments such as reception and housekeeping.

All employees are responsible for

Being updated and knowledgeable about the hotel's fire and safety procedures
Actively participating in departmental meetings.
Actively using the hotel's feedback system, Loopon. No prior knowledge of the system is required.
Ensuring compliance with company policies such as dress code
Maintaining a good working environment where everyone supports each other.
Treating our guests and colleagues with respect
Other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Working hours: Varied working hours, just like it is in hotels - so both day, evening, and weekend work may occur.
Salary: According to collective agreement.
