Our Operations

Working in ambulance care is often a challenging and exciting job, where we usually focus on one patient at a time. We work in two shifts, which provides more recovery time in the schedule, and there is the possibility for training during working hours.

We are jointly recruiting for the county's 4 ambulance stations, located in Enköping, Tierp, Uppsala, and Östhammar.

Our Employment Requirements

We require medical knowledge, physical endurance, and problem-solving skills. Our employment requirements are set both to ensure the ability to perform the job itself and to prevent work-related injuries.

Your Qualifications

Certified nursing assistant with at least three years of experience in emergency care. Additional training in ambulance care is an advantage. You must have C1/C license or alternatively a B driver's license issued before July 1, 1996. We place great importance on having good driving experience.

As an applicant, you should have good physical condition and work ability. You must also submit a certificate that you can swim (200 m). The selection consists of a suitability test in the form of a fitness test, driving test, interview, and a medical knowledge test in the form of a written exam. Test dates are May 11 and 19, 2026.

In addition to formal qualifications and merits, we place great emphasis on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, stress resilience, and flexibility.

We Offer

Employment starting in autumn 2026. An introductory course with a preliminary start in week 36, 2026. After a successful outcome, you will be offered employment as agreed. Before hiring, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal records, as well as the driving license register, will be obtained.

Recurring training days at the station and external concept training.

In addition to the daily work in an ambulatory service, there are also many opportunities to participate in the daily operations at the station and development work focused on the future of ambulance services.
