The Swedish National Heritage Board is the national authority that leads and supports the work of preserving, using, and developing cultural heritage. Our operations are located in Visby, Stockholm, and Tumba, and we also conduct public activities at the visitor site Glimmingehus. We have approximately 250 employees.
Do you want to be part of developing the Swedish National Heritage Board, especially the work with cultural environment information? We are on a transformation journey where our information management becomes increasingly central to enable our future services.
Starting from the operational years 2026-2027, we are working with a strategic governance called “Accessible and Usable Cultural Environment Information” and we are now looking for two business developers who want to help develop our information management and future operational support.
About the role
The unit for geographic information and analysis is responsible for and develops geographic information about, among other things, archaeological sites and built cultural heritage. The unit's responsibilities also include the management and development of various services for making information accessible.
As a business developer, you are an important person in our development and management work. You work broadly to analyze, describe, and visualize relationships, needs, and requirements that form the basis for the development of cultural environment information. The Swedish National Heritage Board's information is becoming increasingly important to enable digital transformation in the cultural heritage sector, and one of the prerequisites for enabling development in the AI field to support various areas, such as the urban planning process.
The work involves contributing to the Swedish National Heritage Board's information development from a holistic perspective through participation in various development initiatives. In development initiatives, you work with colleagues from different operational areas such as information and cybersecurity, archive issues, personal data management, geodata supply, as well as with experts in building and landscape development. Additionally, you will be part of one or more groups that drive and support strengthening the authority's capacity in information management. The work will be multifaceted and requires helping where needed.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with experience in information management, digital cultural heritage, and a genuine interest in how information, processes, and technology are interconnected. The role suits you if you have a few years of practical experience and want to take the next step in a complex organization with an important social mission. You thrive in the role of a link between operations and IT and can move between the big picture and details.
Your qualifications
- You have a relevant higher education, for example, in information management, digital cultural heritage, system management, or equivalent experience that we consider relevant in this context.
- You have worked with analysis, requirements work, process or information mapping in development initiatives.
- You are analytical, structured, and pedagogical – you enjoy making the complex understandable.
- You find it easy to collaborate and enjoy working with colleagues from many different professional roles.
- You are communicative and comfortable giving presentations, leading meetings, and facilitating workshops.
It is an advantage if you have experience in:
- Digital cultural heritage information, particularly cultural environment information.
- Geodata and GIS.
- Data analysis and statistics.
- The public sector.
Other
The positions are permanent with a 6-month probationary period. The placement can be in Visby or Stockholm, and for most of our positions, we can offer some remote work. Welcome with your application by March 6, 2026. Mark your application with the diary number RAÄ-2026-754.
