Our Operations

In recent years, we at the children's emergency department have worked hard to develop our operations to be able to receive all our patient categories in the best way. We have a vision to further develop our working methods and therefore want to expand our strong team!

At the children's emergency department, we receive and treat children and adolescents with acute medical, orthopedic, and surgical illnesses and injuries aged 0-18 years. Our operations are open around the clock, and the number of patients and the intensity of work vary from day to day. The children's emergency department is part of the section for acute pediatric care, which also includes the pediatric emergency care department 95E and the specialized pediatrics department. All units are in very close proximity to each other.

We who work within the section for acute pediatric care are a wonderful group who are truly passionate about our work. Our multidisciplinary team always has the sick child and family at the center. We value a good collaborative climate, and in teamwork, we have high ceilings. Patient safety and professional treatment are natural parts of our daily work, and we place great focus on daily, joint training sessions for the section's staff groups. We are careful with shared reflection after the end of shifts and feedback after difficult patient cases. Thanks to our different competencies and experiences, we develop and make each other even better in our work with our patients.

Your Mission

As a nursing assistant with us in the children's emergency department, you will work both independently with your own responsibilities and in a team together with other nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. The tasks are varied and include, along with caring for children and relatives, among other things, sampling and inhalations. We place great focus on patient flow and patient contact. The work offers great variation in terms of difficulty, content, and pace. Our patients come both walking and by ambulance, and we often receive patients who require immediate, acute care in the emergency room. The workday in the children's emergency department consists of many meetings with our patients and their families. Since patients' conditions can change rapidly, the work is both varied and challenging, and well-functioning teamwork is always focused on the best interests of the patient.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or pediatric specialist nursing assistant. If you have experience working in pediatric care and/or experience working in an emergency department, it is highly meritorious.

Your Competence

You have a great interest in pediatric care and find emergency care exciting. You are secure and stable, both as a person and in your role as a nursing assistant; you are self-sufficient and take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward. You are flexible and easily adapt to new circumstances. You enjoy being challenged and are open to learning new things and taking on different tasks.

We Offer

We offer two positions, both full-time 100%.

There is a great opportunity to rotate between the children's emergency department and the pediatric emergency care department 95E, which is seen as meritorious if desired.
