We are Uppsala University Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. We are now looking for someone interested in becoming our colleague and nursing assistant for an exciting job during the summer of 2026.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work with the most important thing a person has - the brain.

Our Operations

We have a large catchment area as we are one of six highly specialized neurosurgical clinics in Sweden, and we receive both planned and emergency patients around the clock. The patients we care for have bleeding in the head, tumors in the brain and spine, spinal injuries, vascular malformations, and hydrocephalus.

The brain is the most important thing we have and the part that determines our body and who we are. The brain is a mystery we are constantly learning more about. It controls everything we do, or cannot do. Does that sound exciting? Come and be a part of our fantastic team!

We have close cooperation across departmental boundaries to focus on the work environment and do the best for our employees. We have active leadership that contributes to structure and a good work environment, which is very important to us.

Your Mission

With us, you will be responsible together with nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists for the pre- and post-operative care of neurosurgical patients. Here you can expect a varied job with challenging tasks. With us, you will become part of a wonderful group with mixed ages, genders, and experiences. We support each other and help each other out. You are never alone!

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a protected professional title as a nursing assistant. You have good knowledge and skills in the care and nursing profession. You enjoy working with patients and their relatives. You put the patient in focus and are responsible and motivated in your work. With us, there is a high flow of patients, which requires you to be flexible and have the ability to prioritize your work. Great importance is placed on personal qualities.

We Offer

We can offer you a part-time position with a start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening both weekdays and weekends unless otherwise agreed.

With us, it is important to have a tailored introduction based on previous experience. We offer you an introduction with an experienced nursing assistant and introductory days at the Clinical Training Center (KTC) where you will practice venipuncture, catheter placement, feeding tube connection, transfer techniques, and CPR. With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
