Description Our client in Huskvarna is looking for an operational purchaser for a temporary assignment during a parental leave. The role is placed within Indirect Sourcing Business and involves working in a global context with a focus on indirect purchasing categories such as consulting services, travel, staffing, as well as sales and marketing. The team consists of six people in Sweden and works closely with the business with a clear focus on business benefits, digitalization, and continuous improvement.

As an operational purchaser, you will play a central role in supporting internal stakeholders and ensuring effective purchasing processes in line with applicable strategy and policy. You will be an important part of a collaborative team that values structure, initiative, and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities In the role of operational purchaser, you are responsible for carrying out operational purchasing activities in accordance with established guidelines and strategies. You work closely with Category Managers and internal buyers to ensure quality in procurements, supplier collaborations, and new initiatives. An important part of the job involves managing and developing the supplier base within relevant categories as well as conducting inquiries and negotiations, including in the purchasing system Coupa.

You identify and drive savings initiatives and ensure that framework agreements and preferred suppliers are used according to applicable agreements. The role also involves analyzing market and supplier data to identify improvement opportunities and create business value. Furthermore, you collaborate closely with other purchasers and category leaders to implement joint initiatives and programs. You support buyers in specifications and ensure that purchases are made in accordance with internal guidelines. The assignment also includes contributing to the development of system support by creating and updating content such as forms and catalogs, as well as actively sharing best practices within the team.

Qualifications

• University degree in areas such as economics or business

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing or a similar field

• Experience working in an international environment with multiple contact points and geographically dispersed teams

• Good negotiation skills

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Good system skills, for example, experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with indirect services, either from the purchasing or supplier side

• Experience working in Coupa or similar purchasing systems

Conditions The work is entirely on-site in Huskvarna. Employment rate: Full-time. Period: March 16, 2026 – July 17, 2026.
