Vårsta diakoni is seeking: Gardener with a focus on green rehabilitation

Do you want to work in a place where nature, care, and human development are at the center? At Vårsta diakoni, you will be part of a non-profit organization with over 100 years of experience in promoting human care and rehabilitation.

We are now looking for a gardener with a focus on green rehabilitation who wants to contribute to a meaningful context for participants in need of rehabilitation, structure, and work training.

About the position

As a gardener with us, you will work in the heart of Vårsta's beautiful garden environment with greenhouses and green areas – an environment that is actively used in our work with green rehabilitation and employment, one of our established areas of operation, Green Wholeness.

Your work will involve:

• Planning and maintaining gardens, crops, and greenhouses
• Leading and conducting nature- and garden-based activities that promote work training and participation
• Leading work with the preparation and processing of cultivated products
• Leading the Växtkraft operation – meaningful employment for individuals with psychosocial limitations
• Supporting participants in their rehabilitation process and work training with a calm, empathetic, and professional approach
• Contributing to creating a safe and inclusive environment where each individual is given the opportunity to heal and grow as a person – in line with Vårsta's mission.
• Collaborating with colleagues in care, preventive measures, and rehabilitation-oriented assignments.

Who are we looking for?

We believe that you have:

• Education as a gardener
• Knowledge of health-promoting work and experience in nature-based rehabilitation

· A strong ability to meet people with respect, attentiveness, and clear structure

· Ability to collaborate both internally and externally. At the same time, you need to be able to work independently towards set goals and have the ability to adapt to situations. You know and can lead yourself.

· At least 5 years of work experience

Meritorious:

• Experience in rehabilitation, social, or diaconal work

· Knowledge of project management

The position requires knowledge of working under confidentiality and with respect for individuals' specific needs.
