Our Operations

Are you a nursing assistant/nursing student interested in highly specialized surgical care? Do you want to work in a department with varied tasks and pace? Then 70E is the workplace for you!

Ward 70E is a vascular and acute surgical care unit with both emergency and planned care. We provide highly specialized vascular surgical care and operate on complicated aortic aneurysms. The acute surgical patients come to the ward from the emergency department around the clock with mixed diagnoses and varying lengths of stay, which means that no day is like the other. In the department, nursing assistants, care assistants, nurses, and doctors work in teams with several other professional roles, all focused on the patient.

Your Mission

As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you are responsible for the patient's basic care, pre- and post-operative care, wound dressings, catheter, stoma, and drainage care, monitoring vital parameters, and mobilizing patients, etc. The pace of work varies and the tasks are diverse, which will give you a broad competence and good knowledge in surgical care. The department has good routines and structure.

Your Qualifications and Competence

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a professional certificate - preferably with experience in hospital care. But also you who are a nursing student who has completed semester 3 with a passing grade. If you have experience with the Cosmic journal system, we consider it an advantage.

The position is a rotation position that includes days, evenings, and weekends. Our working hours throughout the week are:
Day shift: 06:45-15:30
Evening shift: 13:15-22:00
Night shift: 21:00-07:00

We Offer

We are looking for someone interested in a summer position, who wants to work the entire summer period (June 1 – August 31, 2026), with the possibility of extension. Start date by agreement. Recruitment is ongoing during the application period.
