RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as Transport Manager, you will work both strategically and operationally, becoming part of an engaged transport management team and collaborating closely with customer service, carrier managers, and quality functions. You will plan, prioritize, and optimize daily transports with a focus on efficiency, quality, and delivery precision. Furthermore, you will stay one step ahead, identify improvement opportunities, and act quickly when conditions change. Your main tasks as a Transport Manager will include:

• Planning and route optimizing assignments based on volumes, time windows, SLAs, and KPIs

• Monitoring transports in real-time and managing deviations, ETA updates, and customer dialogue

• Ensuring the right capacity through close collaboration with drivers and carriers

• Providing customers with clear and proactive information

• Contributing to the development of routines, working methods, and monitoring of key performance indicators

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by having a central role in the daily flow. You are solution-oriented, structured, and have a natural ability to prioritize correctly – even when many things are happening at once. Furthermore, we believe that you have a good understanding of the logistics as a whole and how details affect the final result. Important for the job:

• 3–5 years of experience in transport management of road transports or a similar operational role, preferably within courier and express services

• Experience working in TMS systems, preferably if you have worked in Opter

• Good local knowledge of the Gothenburg area

• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently even in pressured situations

• Strong communication skills and a clear service mindset

Meritorious:

• Relevant academic education in logistics, transport, or economics
