Project Manager in Industrialization (Indus Lead)

Your Role

As a Project Manager in Industrialization (Indus Lead), you will have overall responsibility for industrialization throughout the flow - from new development to stable and efficient production. The role is central to ensuring that technical solutions are manufacturable, cost-effective, and reliable.

The Gripen production is in an expansive phase. Initially, your task will be to drive and deliver efficiency and improvement projects with a clear focus on cost reduction, shorter lead times, and enhanced industrialization capability.

You will lead complex projects in cross-functional environments and collaborate closely with design, production technology, production, purchasing, and suppliers. The work occurs at many interfaces between development and production, where you take responsibility for priorities, decisions, and progress from a holistic perspective on the business.

The role entails a clear leadership and delivery responsibility, including:

• responsibility for project budget, planning, and follow-up
• mandate to drive change within the framework of your project assignment
• responsibility for ensuring delivery according to set goals regarding time, cost, and quality

You will be part of a project office within industrialization/production, where we drive several parallel projects and jointly develop working methods, methodologies, and the ability to lead industrialization in complex systems.

The Industrialization area is part of Fighter Production within Saab Aeronautics. The operations encompass the entire chain from production technology and tool design to assembly, final assembly, and delivery of aircraft, as well as functions within planning, project management, transfer, and OPEX. Approximately 320 employees work to lead and develop the industrialization of Gripen and other advanced flight systems.

Travel may occur in the position.

Your Profile

You are a confident and structured leader with the ability to take responsibility in technically and organizationally complex environments. You drive projects with a clear focus on delivery, results, and business benefits and have the ability to create progress in the interface between development and production.

You create engagement and team spirit through clear communication and an inclusive working approach, contributing to successful deliveries.

You have:

• Several years of experience leading projects or assignments, preferably in production or industrialization-related environments
• The ability to plan, manage, and follow up projects regarding time, cost, and content
• Relevant higher education or equivalent experience

It is advantageous if you have experience in industrialization, production, or production technology.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
